Depends what you want it for......I have used one of those harnesses.

 

No good if you are climbing more than an hour. No padding to speak of on legs.

 

My harness is the most important piece of kit for me.......Get a good one!!!!

 

If you buy that Petzl....you will sell it on ebay a week later.

It is quite a good harness, and I have spent many hours sitting in one. (G 7REE have you seen the amount of padding on the legs of a treemotion?)

 

I would try it on before you buy any harness. Some just do not fit diferent body types and everyone's geometry is different. Is there a local supplier?

No I havent......was hoping to get up to Capel and check some harnesses out ....as I need to replace my Weaver (double sliding dee). Very pleased with the support the weaver gives......as I'm a lardy....isshhh.

Haven't considered it yet Pete......as I was planning on doing Capel for definite.

 

Like you say .....you really need to check harness out before buying. So I will probrably go.

Do you have a website or anything jonesie ? Thing is the closest Arb shop to me is Stamford and thats an hours drive might take me missus down there for a weekend away or something really nice town then check some harnesses out
