I would do it, but am having no luck whatsoever in findibng out how to get my UA tickets. I have over ten years exp in tree work, and would like to be abler to sub to the LA as tehy are getting people down from devon to do it round here......

Mate there is loads of guys round no sign writing and doing power line clearence. Bowdens, sylvanas, and glendale yes so who the hell is everyone else. Can any one clear this up.

Im the same its a lot more work to get U.A qualls if the work was promised i proberly wood.

Does anyone know of any cutters,climbers or subbies looking for powerline clearance work in the Devon area? Must have UA 1,2 etc etc. etc

 

I'm sorry for the newb question but could someone please tell me what UA 1, 2 and the other relevent quals are for powerline clearence thanks

Hi Vertigo,

They are the certs needed for work on powerlines

Utility arb 1 - basic electrical knowledge

UA2i - tree id

UA2ii - pruning from the ground

UA2iii - aerial pruning

Tommer give me a call and i can put you in touch with a company that i use for ua training , the biggest problem with having the UA tickets is that unless you do Western Power's training then you will not be autherised to work within proximity to powerlines . it is a pain in the arse to get into and costly but well worth it ,

Looking through old posts I have UA 1 2 and 5 live in North Devon is this work still avaliable I maybe interested.
