It has amazed me how little coverage this is getting in both the national media as well as trade journals. Sadly it is a really big deal. It has also reportedly started affecting Douglas Fir now, lets just hope its not as successful with this as it has been with Larch.

 

I'll wait with my hands over my eyes for what happens next!

I was speaking to one of the pioneers of the whole thing recently (someone who was with the first teams who 'found out' about it) and he reckons this has been around for a long time, but we are only just noticing it. I wonder.
