anyone do grass cutting?

I'd say once every two weeks as standard. A lot of people ask me for once a week but I won't do it regularly as it gets hard to have decent amounts of time off. If we get a particular spell of sun and rain I'll ask them if they want an extra visit.

 

3 weeks imho is to far apart and will look scraggy near the end, especially if something goes wrong that week and gets knocked on another couple of days.

If its domestic and they want a very nice lawn once a fortnight max, if they just want their grass cutting and are tight wads, once every three week

Oh and make sure your insured. A contract that I lost had someone lose an eye due to a stone flicking up from a mower. The contractor wasn't insured so the managment company got sued, and I got the contract back. Could just have easily been me that had done it though, worth thinking about, as I always considered it to be very safe.

ahh, that was something else i meant to ask. how people arrange when to go, so every three weeks seems about right. was thinking of so much per garden for the grass cutting as a set price, then anything else added as extra at the time. cheers again.

 

agree everything between you and client regarding frequency and collection/disposal of cuttings

where i work they used to cut grass but the tree work took over so they gradually reduced it out and now longer do it as tree and hedge work has taken over
