Assignment

Got my first assignment question today :- Describe the most significant anatomical structures and mechanisms by which trees defend themselvesagainst damage by both living (biotic) organisms and non-living (abiotic) factors.

Now i am not asking for any answers as that would be wrong but if i were to start reading up on compartmentalization, would i be heading in the right direction?

If so has anybody got an idea of which books are best to read on the subject, or which tiny useful part of the internet should i start looking in?

Any help (not answers :)) is appreciated

Cheers

Rob
