I am right handed so the handsaw and chainsaw are on the right. Lanyard on left.

My main problem is the chansaw more than the handsaw. The chainsaw side hookup is a little too far back for a comfortable takeoff/return. Moving it anymore forward will interfere with the handsaw. The other issue is that the chainsaw lanyard keeps getting hung up on the handsaw scabbard.

Forget the leg mounted handsaw scabbard.

Rich, I borrowed a friends TreeMotion for a couple weeks (and will be getting my own very soon). I also keep saws on right, lanyard on left. I can't remember exactly where I put the handsaw, but the chainsaw stayed attached to a petzl caritool that was fitted through a convenient passthrough spot on the right side of the backpad. This kept the chainsaw in a good spot for me.

Maybe this will help.......keyring 'biner holds chainsaw.

The only thing I can think of is to swap the handsaw and chainsaw points and attach the end of the chainsaw lanyard to my side d-ring THIS IS ONLY ON A TRIM SAW!!! instead of the rear mount. This would keep the chainsaw and lanyard in front of the handsaw!

i know a climber who advocates hanging the chainsaw from the secondary low d's. i tried it but personally didnt get on with it, althout it is more comfortable, you dont feel the weight of the saw at all as its redorected straight through your bridge through to your climbinging system perhaps give that a try.

other than that i dont understand why you cant move the saw absolutely anywhere.

i saw a pic rup posted at the buzz where hes clipping the saw onto a shackle attached to the leather portion.

heres rupes pic http://www.treebuzz.com/forum/images/upload/92491-x.jpg
