I have a nearly new one that I would be only too pleased to flog. But I can't. I couln't live with the thought that some day it might kill someone. £45 down the crapper.

I was wondering about trying to get a refund on them as at the time we bought ours, the relevant legislation preventing their use was already in place- as we would have expected our supplier to have been aware of this. I reckon we have about half a dozen of them and spare chains!

yikes thats a lot of money stuck there in new ones and spare chains.

I was using one last year and a link broke off, dissapeared into the undergrowth never to be seen again, no people or other workers around so all ok. We replaced the chains and kept going, spent a lot of hrs using it.

Kinda hope they can come back into use in a safer form cause they were great for clearing small re gen scyamore and gorse.
