The extremes are basically the Trekkers but with a really rugged toe cap once you take the little spikes off the bottom. If you like the Trekkers you will like the extremes. Depending on price I would probably just get some more Trekkers though bud.

Protector Extreme are far too heavy and chunky imo, lasted me about a year....then the front of the soles came apart. I guess it depends if your climbing or ground work. Better for ground work i think!

I now have Protector light...better for climbing imo.....much lighter and not yet any issues with them.

them plates the spikes go onto have a hidden captive nut that seizes up and spins, if it does it with the spikes on they have to stay on.. on my second pair of protector pro's and will replace with same nexttime, soo comfy
