hey peeps , my mates chipper today had problems with the feed rollers and they stopped rolling under pressure , engine revs are fine etc but just wont work under pressure, is this a big fix or a little one !?

Could be the spool valve (high chance), auto stress just too low?

could be the stress control playing up ?

With those symptoms, only if the settings have gone slightly off. The valve with the solenoid coil, occasionaly packs in, this causes that to happen, check the wires for high resistance joints, or try to scrounge a valve off another machine to try.

I know this is so obvious but checked the hydro oil level.

could be to many things if the hydro pump is wrecked could be leaking which you would know.

Again could be the electrickery which i have no clue i pay s:confused1:omeone else for them head aches get enough cutting trees.

I would check everything you know make sure al is ok then process of elimination

We have had this issue with both Schleising and Jenson machines. Sounds like it might be the woodruff key. The little bit of metal that sits in the groove of the shaft of the motor and locates in the corresponding groove in the inside of the roller. If this shears then it doesn't transmit the power from the motor to the roller.

Does the motor still turn when the roller is static?
