in the Forms section, I got to Validation, and it says that I havent completed Tpo section, although I'd ticked the Con/area button, as opposed to the Tpo button.

Aaaahhhhh. You need to tick both boxes, one yes and one no depending on what you're up to. That should sort it

 

We haven't actually had any apps through the portal yet so I've fired off a couple to see what department they end up in! I've applied to fell everything in the local conservation area!

Now I haven't checked so nobody quote me on this but my understanding is that as of the 6th april the 1 app form became the only legit way of submitting a planning application. As works to tpo trees are applications they are covered by this change. In CAs though your are notifying the LPA of your intentions and therefore until the T&CP 1999 regs are amended you are perfectly within your rights to use alternate forms of notification.

 

However, I personally would get used to the new forms - they ain't going away!

 

If I remember correctly, in theT&C Planning Act it says you must use criteria as demanded/ or deemed acceptable by the said council, or words to that affect.

rebecca ,head of planning foe north herts has told me she wants the app1 form,if you can blag it for as long as you can fair do's but the one advantage is we wont have to provide the scale map wich was always a hassle for north herts applications for me any way!as a scetched map in app1 will do.
