Hi Steve ,

my website is very new and for google to rate it well i need lots of one way links ( google doent rate 2 way links). So if i put you a link from my gardening website (wild orchid gardening) to arb talk , will that be ok?

I was told this by a web guy as well. Google now only recognises one way links (or gives them much more 'weight') than 2 way links.

Prob as there seemed to be a spate of everyone linking their sites to each other (whether sites relevant or not) in order to climb rankings....

I will indeed Steve once I figure where to put it. I actually mention arbtalk all the time in other forums. Latest time was in the money saving expert forum - and a couple of people said it was a fantastic link - but it was then removed as "no advertising is allowed"!! Huh?!

Makes it kind of difficult to say anything in response to people asking about chimneys or stoves or briquettes or whatever - as you can't answer at all without some of the people on there shouting foul! Can't really see how it's helping anyone when it gets like that - though obviously it's an entirely different sort of forum to this one.

Anyway - I'll keep spreading the word and get a link on my site before the week's out.

Cheers mate,

Andy
