I have done this in college but always coudent find out what the average age was for just that species we got showed how to do it. but now when i need to know how to do it i carnt remember it and the tutor dosen't wont to tell me..

All i need is the way of working it out

think i can remember it was something like this

Oak tree

145

167

178 (division by 2.5)

------

239.2 That have given me the average for the trees i have measured but i need to find out the average age for all of that species in the Woodlands
