Me neither. Occaisionally on dead stumps but i can't ever remember it on a live tree. Cool.

Had one on a mock last year. Took down about 3 stems.

We've got a bracket on a big Ash here, leaning over a path, but the local tree surgeons don't worry about it. I'll get a pic this week.

Don`t know how common ganoderma is on ash, in the last strong winds 2 of the ash that blew over had it

My favourite term of the moment is veteranise or veteranisation. Just sounds so much more scientific/sympathetic than top it.
