stump grinder attachment for a mini digger maybe? i think you can hire them if you dont want to buy.

have you thought about hiring an alpine magnum - check out there web site they look pretty sturdy on slopes and i have been told they are as productive as some of the hydraulic machines also they run on a saw engine so are two stroke - dont mind the working angles. Just a thought.

Alpine magnum is a great bit of kit. Have used one many times for difficult stumps. Or contract them out, someone elses problem and back ache then!!!!

I would say get a tracked machine in say pred 25 not to big drive up the slope just over the stump place either a r/w/sleeper behind or some small car ramp's then revese onto hey presto level kill stump job done , car ramps would most proply work with a wheeld grinder ? remote control might be high to the controls ,beer crate ?
