Look at this old beast!

It brings a nostalgic tear to my eye, my first chipper was one of those.

 

It’s an old Ganadinni 09 badged as a turner 90 by turners who are now Greenmech.

It was a road towed model, you can still see the axle brackets. The box section rails above the tracks are the fuel and hydraulic tanks.

 

They were bomb proof, but heavy machines, Built when quality mattered more than price. I demolished a garden wall on an infill build site by simply backing mine through it (its all about access isn’t it?). When the engine dropped a valve in and destroyed itself I simply cut the chipper up and made it into a PTO model. It is still doing service on a farm not far from me.

 

It looks a bit pre historic but it will still be chipping when lesser machines have expired.

It would make a good back up machine for site work but 4k is a bit top end though
