spoke to a Stihl chain techinican at a german forestry show stand, he said proper manual filing should out perform a guide by 5%......every little helps

1. The file guide is on the wrong way round...

2. ...so there's no back stop.

3. He's using the file backward so it's not cutting.

4. The T-bars aren't holding the chain.

5. He's listening for the chain stop click when it should be behind the cutter he's filing. Now the file is pushing the cutter away, not that it matters cos he's not even using the file the right way round...
