TW 125 problem!!!!!!!!!!!

the chipper had been work fine most of the day. So it warm. So restarted the engine and if would go for 15 seconds or so. Then it would just give up. Tried a few more times then it started to back fire. Though it was flooded maybe left if for an hour or so. Still the same problem. Checked air filter and fuel filter. still no difference, still cutting out after 15seconds.

 

any suggestions?

Is the oil low? They have an automatic shut down when its down. Can effect it if there is oil left but the machine isn't on the level

try changing the fuel filter as mine keeped loosing power and that sorted it?

Flush the fuel tank out . I had the similar probs with mine it was full of shite .

ive only had it 3 months from new!

Should be under warranty ? . If not its very suprising how much crap gets in the tank even when using a filter . Mine was cutting out after a few mins but would start back up again . I cleaned out the tank and got a handful of sludge old leaves and muck . I now clean it out often .. Oh it cured the problem .

its still under warranty, but i dont want to take another day off to get it repaired. i'll try and fix it myself, before taking it in.

To flush the tank out properly you have to take it off . My TW is a 2002 kohler engined one . The tank comes off easily within 20mins is back on . Hope you get it sorted . Air lines are handy for blowing shite out of the lines .:biggrin:
