get up the rope (low and slow at first), chuck your line over your left leg pull up on your top ascender then push the catch on your croll down and and slowly and under control lower yourself a bitbring your hand ascender down then repeat. don't go down to far as your hand ascender will go tight. you chuck the line over your left leg to stop the teeth grabbing the rope when you don't want them too.

oh and be very careful. start slow and low and don't do anything you're not sure about. if in doubt get training.

just put your line where you have a branch to move up on to or place it where you have something nearby to stand on, it is important to make sure you have a decent gap between your ascenders and anchor point because you will need some slack at the base of the tree to untie you tie off point. i have a haul bag with my rope in so i just use the weight of the bag to hold the line steady.

It's ok lads, just send the cheques to.....

i made a small chest harness from 1" webbing for the croll instead of the wee bungee bit it works better but is a bit uncomfy. i think for the ultimate in SRTing you'd need the Petzl Sequioa SRT

Also, unless you've used true static line to ascend on, when you step off the line and into the tree, the recoil from the rope and tree can pull your ascender away from you / into forks etc. Very annoying and adds complications to an already technical stage of the climb. I used to leave the pantin til last as a third hand to control the line.
