I just dont like the terms 'Lopping' and 'Topping', maybe I'm in the worng..? Maybe I'm not..? I just know you'll never see it written down the side of my van...!

 

nor do i, but i also don't like the way certain companies pass it of as pollarding. a professional pollard such as yours :icon14:is a far cry from what some pass of as pollarding.:scared:

Nice work john. I am a big fan of pollarding as a way of managing urban trees. The french and germans have been doing it for hundreds of years - I'll dig out some pics of the huge Acer pollards i took in Annecy, france.

I've been fighting to get these done for years (highways only just came up with the money) I'm keen to see how much re-growth they put on in the coming years...time will tell I guess!
