Ahh right on the carb. I thought you had the old 020 AV as that's what the L&S diagram is showing. Those av rubber always fail, they get soggy from the chain oil, they last a lot longer than the 201t spring though! Although the springs don't really fail but nearly everyone I've had through the workshop is twisted out of shape.

I've got about 3 of those 020's in bits scatted about the workshop, one day I will put a couple together. One day!

That’s the point I was trying to make , surely the 020 AV doesn’t have the same mounts as the 200t 020

Not so clean at the moment.

It was a retired climbers spare/backup saw. He said it had very little use and it was a great price. Hadnt been used in ages, foul looking fuel. Poured it out, fresh fuel, fired up 6th pull. It was initially cutting out but after a few tanks of fuel its now pretty much running perfectly.

I'd like to replace the side cover, chain brake side, as its not looking too great. Cosmetic as it looks burnt around the exhaust. I gave it a light sand and made it look worse. I'll either do it properly and give it a spray of 2k white, or replace the cover.

Mine is clearly not a 020AV from looking at google pictures, does seem to share parts with the 200/201.

You're right they aren't the same, they do look similar though and I suppose you could make them fit as there is basically no OEM parts available anymore for the 020 AV. Ive only had two in the workshop and that was a good few years ago. I was making one decent saw from the two of them.

It would certainly explain the shocking state of my hands after using the piles of shit for years , 90’s saw with 70’s AV’s
