Could anyone kindly point me in the right direction to get a couple of Tonnes of bark chippings donated to a school in Thurrock Essex. I have been advised to reach out on this forum. Thank you

Just be aware “bark” chippings are different to arborists wood chips? Bark chips are from when soft wood is “peeled” to remove the bark for stakes, rails, jump poles etc. Arborist wood chip is when everything is chipped - the clean timber,  branches, leaves - the lot. Bark chips give a relatively long term decorative finish, wood chip can be unsightly and will eventually rot down?

Unlikely to get bark chippings donated off here?  I'd say speak to a landscape supplier and see what they can do if it must be bark.
