I have it in my bathrooms, 200w under tiles and 150w under LVT.

i have the mat system, very easy to install.

This will be under LVT, am I right in thinking that there are wooden boards between the heating and the flooring?

You need to embed the heating cables / mat in some screed (self levelling) then you can lay the LVT directly on top.  Are you going for the click together or glue down, click is so much faster to install but raises the height of the flooring more.  Something to consider for the adjoining room.

Thanks for the advice. I'm installing it in a loft room so I'll be gluing down, I've already lost 50mm headroom by insulating the floor.
