Hey folks, hope you're all well. 

 

Please could someone help me ID this tree. I'm just not buying what the plant ID apps say, they've thrown up 100's of suggestions! It has said Cherry Laurel but a few times when I scanned it but I'm not 100% convinced the app knows what it's talking about!

 

I guy local to me gave them me after cutting down this tree from his back garden.

Defo Cherry Laurel. Does is smell vaguely like almonds? Almond essence to be more precise.

Makes good firewood anyway, as its a high density timber.
