Assume there are four quotes. One way over, one a decent price for the work involved and two at half the price of what one would expect. Buying work?

 

Next job .... four quotes. Three within 1k of each other and one at a quarter of the price.

I know what you mean, we put in for a large land survey job, it was an awful site but a jobs a job.

 

We put in 14K, two other companies put in 16k the company that won put in 4.5k ...... What an absolute joke, this will take 2 men three weeks at least with surveygrade gps and robotic machines (45k of equipment). The client was gob smacked and said he will send me the completed plans to have a look at to see how good they are. Cant wait to see..

Alarm bells should ring if three quotes average 15k, and only one comes in at 4k. Something isnt quite right......

Maybe they just fecked up on the quote and under priced themselves, does happen, been a few threads on here about it!

 

Or they have lads standing about doing nothing and need to pay some wages.

 

Or they cut a few corners here and there to save afew quid:sneaky2:

 

Or the rest of you are taking the p155 with your prices.
