Western Red Cedar needed

I am looking for another load of WRC.

 

Must be suitable for milling up.

Min 10" tops (pref 12" or more on shorter bits)

Max 6m

Min 3m (but not all of it in 3m lengths as it puts the cost of milling up)

 

Pref delivered but poss can get it collected if the price is right.

 

Must be local ish to Pwllheli (if you dont know where that is you are to far away)

 

Needed soon.

Cant help you mate- sorry. 2 reasons....distance, and the fact that we have milled cornwalls WRC and theres none left now down here for a year or two....

There's a stand of big wrc in cann wood next to me; no extraction permitted due to p.ramorum. Bugger!

I reckon some of that last load i had had ramorum as there were some funny markings on the bark......

What colour were the marks mate?

P.ramorum coloured.....Actually it wqas old sap i reckon, but one wonders. I just milled it out and set fire to the slabwood.

try sparsholt college hampshire. if you call and ask for keith weale . he should be able to supply some or if not point you in the right direction of it. i think they are felling it at the moment. worth a try.

Might be a bit far away & the transport cost be more than the wood would be worth once its here.

 

What does shipping cost per mile per load / tonne?
