Does putting an arb back on a tipper count as a modification for insurance?

It appears they blame the oil change interval for most failures however plenty have gone bang with oil and belt changed early.

 

I was lucky that a Honda dealership salesman warned me not to consider anything of theirs or otherwise with a wet belt when I returned to car ownership. Ended up with a pretty good 2010 Mazda 6, low miles in great condition. Too small for arb work tho.

Little update. NFU wouldn't touch my postcode (london), trust came back with £12000 a year (nuts) but Arborisk saved the day with £1600 a year any driver over 30.

Anyway we got sidetracked….   Does the hive mind believe that the OP needs to inform his insurers if he builds a chip box on an existing (legal) tipping body?   Imo, no.

Well, I dunno, what did they think it was, just a cab and chassis?   Just because one bloke at the end of a telephone says that a few years ago doesn’t mean it’s right.
