Hi everybody, hope everyone’s good on this cloudy day

i am just wondering if there is any work going in West Yorkshire preferably closer to Huddersfield/holmfirth side

I am going in for a fair few tickets-

Level 2 Award in Chainsaw Maintenance, Crosscutting Fell & Process Trees up to 380mm

Level 2 Award in Accessing a Tree with a Rope & Harness

Level 3 Award in Aerial Tree Rescue Operations

Level 3 Award in Aerial Cutting of Trees with a Chainsaw Using Free Fall Techniques

Level 3 Award in Aerial Rigging

Level 3 Award in Emergency Treework Operations

I am going for these tickets in January to the end of January obviously I have no experience in the trade and wanting to gain some I know this will be a groundsman and I’m more than happy to do that so I will have more experience by time I have my tickets.

any help would be appreciated

Nobody is going to offer you work from this post when you’ve got no experience and no tickets mate. Ring up your local firms and offer to do a couple shifts for free. If you’re willing and hard working they might take you on for the odd shift so you can get an insight into the industry before you spend £££££ on all them tickets.

good luck 🤞🏼

Doing your tickets at Kirky's? What driver quals have you got, C+E could be a game changer if you're trying to get a way in.

Yep good old tim Kirk only 2 mins away from me so was the best training centre for me buddy and I can drive up to 3.5 ton normal license I think it is.

may have a few jobs lined up for when I have my tickets but would love to start now tbh as I’d have experience in the industry before I go for my tickets in January👍

I'll keep my ears open, everyone's saying they're busy but the bigger ones are finding it a

bit thin so unlikely to take anyone on til winter.

Cheers buddy appreciate that and Yh just want to gain abit of experience and knowledge tbh

Sounds like you've got your head in the right place, something will turn up sooner or later.

Don't do the offering to work for free though, that's shite. If it's work, it's work, and you should be paid for it. If you aren't worth it, you just won't be asked back, but don't sell yourself short from the get-go.
