Alan Waters .

Went to Alan waters funeral today . It was overflowing . Apart from Mark Odin ( MJO Forestry ) and Matt and John from DM Chainsaws I did not know anybody . I must have known Alan for 25-30 odd years but only from in the woods . At the wake it was the same , I knew no one . He touched so many lives all over the place .

I was at the Chichester boys club where he was a leader. We first met on cycling events and later he'd call into the shop I worked at for a cup of tea and a chat, heavy with the smell of the nights charcoal burn. 

 Nothing but fond memories of an amazing character.
