I know this is probably in the wrong place but I couldn’t see anywhere more appropriate…..

Ā

We live on a smallholding (my parents place) and there’s a couple of acres of SSSI that needs the scrub clearing. It’s a very steep bank covered in rocky outcrops so a flail or mulcher is out of the question-cut and burn jobšŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļøĀ

I’m going to get a decent brush cutter to do the bulk of the clearing, but I’ve got no idea which ones are up to the job (looking at Stihl probably).Ā
Ā

It’ll want to run a blade and be cutting 2/3ā€ thorn/self set trees, anything bigger I’ll cut with a saw after, I just want something that can run a decent blade without knackering the machine. Any advice for a good machine much appreciated! CheersĀ
