Drive belt keeps snapping HAYTER CONDOR !

Hi all I recently bought a Hayter condor and everything worked fine until the belt suddenly started to perish and finally snapped, every time I use it there is no power in the drive, won’t even load itself into the van or uphill then finally will snap. I have checked all the pulleys to see if there is any sharp bits that could be damaging the belt ect but have no idea why it keeps doing this. Any help would be amazing thanks. Is there oil in the hydrostatic drive ?

Are the belts tightened/adjusted with an idler pulley? If so make sure you’re using mower belts that are designed to be tightened from the back (outside) of the belt as apposed to machine belts which run straight up and down through the v. These are cheaper and some mower sellers would put one on just to sell the machine. Also check that the pulleys are in line, so the belt is running true and bearings ok.
