Cherokee Brave Dogwood - wilting leave - overwatering?

Question

I have a cherokee brave dogwood tree that appears to have been overwatered. The leaves are wilted and are turning colors. The tree was transplanted three years ago in an area that the soil is clay based. It is situated about a foot off of the swale in the lawn, so the soil around it is often soggy from the rain run off. The tree has sentimental value to my family. Is it savable? Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
