Nice response. Things happen unfortunately,  and it never happens where it doesn't matter! Good luck going forwards and never panic!

My ill fated GM190 did this at around 28 hours on a recently laid driveway.

I recall the dealer telling me I should check all connections daily.

Our brand new greenmech had numerous issues and dealer promised the world and never delivered so we took a massive loss and moved to another brand and have never looked back.

Why didn't you talk to me about this at the time? The supplier didn't say anything either. We cannot do something if we don't know about it!

Peteb i spoke to your service director at the apf and also George browns director and was assured it would be fixed asap, and it took weeks and also took ages as they didnt want to give me a replacement machine while they repaired mine, so what am i ment to do just not work! I bought brand new because of what was promised if there was a problem. To add insult to it when i finally got a replacement standin it was a tracked one and i had to use my own plant trailer to transport it meaning we could only take certain pieces of kit to site, we also paid for the chipper in full no loan agreement or anything.

Perhaps if you talked me, like I suggested when you swapped that old TW for the Ez demo QuadChip, things would have been different. Seems that living a few villages away didn't help. Sorry that you seem to have had a rough time - wouldn't have happened on my watch or with my dealer either.  Good luck with the Vermeer. Out of interest, I'll ask what the issues were.

I was told by your service director it has to go through the dealer. If you remeber Peteb i had even more issues with the previous dealer who was making 400% mark up on filters and never called back when we had problems.

The towing head damper broke 3 times and we were told it was the old design. The air filter pipe sat on top of the engine and worn through in 4 weeks. The chipper stopped running after 6days and it turns out the control panel was faulty. The safety switch for the hood hadn’t been wired in so the hood could be opened and the chipper kept running.

All news to me! I used to ask about you but there was never any news. I would say that I had a sit down with their Parts folk and the MD and they confirmed that, routinely, they did not add to any parts prices - the price you got from GreenMech was the same you got from them! As an OEM manufacturer,  we don't get any special deals on filters and neither do they. As previously stated, sorry for the grief you say you experienced, I can assure you that no malice was intended.
