Does reverse work ok?

What are your flywheel revs saying on the RDS screen?

Alternator belt tight?

intermittent? You mean they’ll work one hour and not the next?  Or they’re stop start multiple times in a few seconds?

Check out the red buttons, inside each is a switch. Test continuity in the switches.

Check for water in the harness bulgin plug under the hopper.

How have you checked the solenoids? Are you getting 12v at the forward hirschmann plug all the time? Even when the rollers stop working ? If so your forward coil is breaking down. If the forward coil is split down the plastic body it’ll be knackered.

Replacement coil is about £85 + vat. We have them in stock.

Hi Jase, neither forward or reverse working. Hydraulic pump belt is tight and new and alternator belt tight. It is working perfect for hours and its after been switched off and then on that it doesn't work. Doesn't happen all of the time but at the moment not working. I'll pass your advice on to the mechanic. The revs seem normal but what should they be at,  good to know?

We will run through what you said. The machine has just gone over a 1000 hours. Would it be possible that a valve could stick?

Hi Alan ,

It needs to rev above 1450 on the display for the feedrollers to feed in.

Have you tried operating the valve manually by pushing in the copper coloured centre on either end of the spool with a small screwdriver with the engine running to see if the rollers turn ?

It should be easy to push in with the engine off and will only move about 3 or 4mm , with the engine running it should be hard to push.

If it's easy even with the engine running then I would disconnect the pressure hose at the valve 'marked P' and put this into a container and start the engine to check for oil flow ?

If there's good flow then it suggests the valve is faulty.

Jase.

HiJase. In relation to the problem we are having with the machine  i have checked the valves and the valve coils by putting 12v to them and all is working.  I have taken apart the switches either side of the hopper and followed back the wiring to the circuit board i have checked  the switches for continuity and all seems fine. Its like its not getting  the signal to the coil wires to open the coils.  Im beginning to think would  the electric board be go e faulty ?🤔🤔
