Morning, just after some advice regards TPO trees and planning regs.

A client has multi mature trees to remove from site which were/are under a blanket TPO. The local planning department have granted permission back in 2019 for the works to be carried out. Is there a time limit to carry out works when the  planning dept has agreed on the works  ie is the planning agreement out of date

Has any of the work granted under planning permission started? If it has you are ok as usually no time limit to complete. If nothing started you may find permission has expired and it's a start again job.

Depending on the nature of the site do you need a felling licence? Mine recently took two months.

I applied for permission to extend the house in 2007 started in 2008 at the same time also applied to build a workshop and take down two trees  didn’t cut the trees down until autumn 2021 bit of a fuss but nothing could be done as work had already started and then planning doesn’t run out
