Opportunity for work and employment

I’m looking for work in the Cornwall area (Falmouth & Truro. Potentially, Devon too).

However, willing to travel further afield for long-term work e.g London or up North.

Happy to do a trial day, meet the team and build up a network for work (throughout this month and going forward).

I’m 26, approaching 27.

I drive and can tow. Hold licenses for trailer & HGVs etc (C1, C, BE, C1E, and CE).

However, my reversing with a trailer requires more practise (as a result, opt for taking it slow and steady. Using my initiative to get the chipper into those desirable spots).

I enjoy talking and working with customers. Which is done in a confident and professional manner.

I hold all the relevant tickets a Secondary Climber and Groundsman would require (except, aerial rigging CS41).

That being said. I’m not gods gift and require more experience in all aspects of my tree work.

Tickets below:

NPTC 201, 202, 203 - Basic chainsaw maintenance, cross cutting and felling

"          306                   - Aerial tree rescue operations and climbing.

"          308                   - Aerial cutting of trees
with a chainsaw.

"          327                   - Woodchipper.

"          319                   - Brush cutter and powered pole pruner.

In addition to this, have first aid in forestry and hold HOLOs medical training qualifications and certificates.

Have obtained Units 305/306, 312, & 314 (Level 3 theory).

However, tree knowledge and experience still requires work and more real time experience.

I'm honest, on time and keen to get my hands dirty. I'm used to working in small to large teams. Greatly, understand the importance of not being a dick and pulling your own weight.

Keen to get exposure and guidance. Learning from those who are willing to teach where safe and applicable on the job (appreciate the priority of the job and where this isn’t applicable).

As mentioned, I’m not gods gift, nor will set the world on fire. However, rely on working hard and getting on with a job/task, to bring me up to an equal playing field.

I have my own PPE, climbing kit and saws (top handle and ground saw).

Happy to meet you / the team  before committing to any work.

Any questions, please message me.

Thank you for taking the time to read this,

James

NB: if you have any contacts or any relevant information, that would be of interest. Would very much appreciate it!

Hello James

Hope you are going well.

Have you considered relocating to pursue opportunities in Australia?

The Arbor Centre (Perth, WA) are actively looking to recruit from the UK... great opportunities to work in one of the greatest places on earth 🙂

https://lnkd.in/gg_xt4vV Details here of one vacancy.... others exist.

Company website is www.arborcentre.com.au

If you would like to catch up informally on Zoom to chat with a couple of staff here, we can set that up for you.

Many thanks..
Paul
