Can anyone recommend a UK company that makes clothing on par with Swazi

I love swazi clobber but I feel someone in the UK must be making similar quality hunting/outdoor clothing.

 

The Tahr XP is hard to beat and likely won't be replaced but alternatives for different weathers would be great.

Just buy Swazi.

 

I bought a jacket from Swazi NZ a few years ago.  Once I put in a delivery address from the UK.  The price halved as they didn’t charge NZ sales tax.  Adding the shipping and import costs for the UK it still came in under 200 quid.

I tried buying British with nomad and whilst its undoubtedly well made I've found little niggles here and there that don't stack up with the quality of swazi.

 

My brother in law had this great swanndri that I borrowed for a little while and liked it so much that I bought one for myself. Only trouble is they had outsourced the manufacturing to outwith New Zealand and the wools so thin you can see through the weave, I was really disappointed.

 

I've been buying harkila in recent years. Its very warm, perhaps too warm for above freezing UK conditions and dare I say over priced. My local supplier is a decent bloke and was able to discount the previous line by £100s otherwise I would never have paid RRP.

 

So as Rich says, continue buying swazi!

I find " Deer Hunter " coats very good . I have 3 . One for autumnal weather , one for the south of England " winter " and one for winter at the North poll . This last one gets worn once very 5 years or so . Fine if you are standing still  but take a step or two and you are sweating light bulbs .
