Stihl MS181C Carb

Just a quick update. I could fit the top of the old carb on the bottom of the chinese version with no fitting for the prime  bubble but the genuine card has a chamber through the bottom on onto the top for the prime bubble so would not be able to prime.

So I just put the chinese carb on and the saw fired up eventually, spitting and missing a bit but now looks like the coil has died as no spark.

This is turning into a winter strip down project now.

So anyways got fed up with it and gone and bought a Husqvarna 550XP MK11, picked it up at a very decent price so thought why not.

Spark on these saws is very hard to see, they need to be pulled over fast in a darkened room.

55mk2 is a cracking saw, had no problems with mine and I've kicked it's head in every day.

Very please with the saw so far, a completely different machine from my little MS181c.

Cheers Chris will have another look in a darkened room.
