Question

I live in North Wales in the  town of Connah's quay.

there is a tree belonging to Network Rail. the branches of this tree are hanging over my back yard.

I have contacted the Network Rail but they refused to cut it.

they want me to cut and pay for the  work. what to do about it? does anybody knows?

thank you

Tree owners are not required to cut back the overhang.  They are required to ensure they do not create an unreasonable level of risk so it depends on what your concerns are. If the overhang is damaging your roof, or their is a risk of injury you may have a case.  If it’s leaf fall and blocked light then they probably won’t deal with it as there is no risk of a claim.
