Can anyone shed any light on how the different power outputs, 1.5, 1.6 and 1.8kw are arrived at? Pretty much the whole of the saw is the same, same bore and stroke and most parts are interchangeable. Thought it might be cylinder and piston but in some parts list they are the same for 140 and 440. Just interested to know.

There is very little difference between these saws, I believe there is some difference in the ignition unit set up, it’s really a marketing thing, some run .325 chain and some 3/8 low profile.
