Mods, please delete/move if not allowed.

Im based in Preston Lancs

Im looking for someone willing to give me some training/experience on chainsaw use.  I had the chance to help a customer on mine (in audio visual) clear his land and fell quite a few trees.  After some advice I have said no to this, and he is bringing in specialists to level the area, but has agreed to leave me about 5 ton of logs for me to go up, and cut/split as I require.

I only have a husky 135mk2, but through the advice I have been given on this forum, have purchase a fully husky ppe kit and oregon boots, spare chains, file kit, split fuel tank, sharpening vice etc.

I dont intend to become a pro, its mainly for chopping firewood, and possibly removing some trees at home.

So if anyone is willing, im more than happy to be a labourer for you on some jobs given notice so i can book time off my main jobs (chef & av installer) in return for you to teach me some of your knowledge & experience in the art of chainsaw maintenance and use of said chainsaw (cuts snedding, bucking etc)

Thanks for your time

Steve

PS - I have been using the saw at home, and getting to grips with it, keeping the 12-3 oclock of the nose clear to avoid kickback, checking my stance and control of the saw, checking tension, stripping and cleaning after use checking bar and chain, air filter, bar, oiler, nut and bolts. (so have leant a little bit)
