Electric corded chainsaw for carvings

Hi folks,

I'm looking for advice on which corded chainsaw under £200 would be a good investment. I will mainly be using it for blocking and detailing. So would probably look to upgrade the bar at some point.

So far I've seen the Husqvarna 420el, Stihl MSE 141 and there are so many models of Makita I wouldn't know what to choose. Also Worx keep popping up on top rated pages.

I sometimes use a cheap aldi one. It does the job but it is a bit bulky and unwieldy. I've also looked at makita and husqvarna and they seem very similar. I have thought about the corded McCulloch for about £120.

The McCulloch does look pretty good for the money 👍

Husqvarna 420el is near identical to  the best makita ones just different plastic colour.

Have used both for firewood and they are decent. quality.

Only tiny downside is its not a brushless motor like the newer cordless stuff. so carbon brushes will net replacing eventually but they last for ages.

Also the new tooless adjustment thing on cover looks cheap prefered the bolts what they used to have

Don't think any corded saws are brushless though as they are old designs that have being around for yrs.
