Hamadryads fungus diary

First up is what I suspect to be Ganoderma australe (suspected due to type of failure and nature of scenario) AKA the southern bracket, a common fungi amoung the old beeches

Without checking the spores under the microscope, I am not convinced it is G. australe.

I will of course do my best, although i might suggest posting them in Kiezers Q and A thread, he is after all infinatley more qualified than I:blushing:

 

Many thanks.. I wasn't really sure where to put them for you fungi guys to have a look.

 

Here's the pics they're not great as my phone is a bit naff.

to ID the giant fungi there:biggrin:

Stropharia (= Psilocybe) semiglobata.

 

I knew I should have gone with my gut on it being a psilocybe, I let another individuals hypholoma guess sway me:sneaky2:

I thought they might be a bit "flat" so im inclined to agree with you, but like you say no spore inspection no certainty.
