Hi,

Can I ask the advice of Tree Officers; do you have Tree Wardens in your boroughs and have you found them to be helpful?

Thanks,

Hi Sam,
I’m not a Tree Officer but as a contractor I spoken to several.
On more than one occasion, I found them thinking that they have the powers of a TO. One lady warden even makes decisions directly with residents in a CA for tree work they request.

Had a “local tree warden” ask me to “reduce” her 12 Lombardy poplars from 80ft to 20ft. She said she didn’t need permission even though it was a conservation area because they were polars ahaha. Safe to say I didn’t do it
