Extra Horsepower and economy.

Thats the prob with the new six speed box: there is only one clutch available. Still, i'm nowhere near 196 bhp TBH I think 155bhp is where the the landy should be, I was after the economy before the performance and it seems to have worked.

I got the tdci 2.4 chipped 190 hp does 115mph but the 6 speed gear box seams to be made out of chocolate two have gave up the job now allways the same 5th and 6th disappear been told lots do it as its a weekness with them

 

HI LURCHED you had limiter taken off then i would not like to go in a 90 115 mph now thanks jon :thumbup:

It has worked fine, no reliability problems till it got rolled on the motorway recently. Its now getting rebuilt as a tipper.

 

I have a remap on my other landy, a 2.2 tdci, which works well but is on its second engine!

I remember reading that most manufacturers tune their engines down to allow for running on poor quality fuel in other countries, as the fuel in the UK is pretty good by comparison it's fairly straight forward to rectify the fuel map, which is what the tuning boxes or a remap does. I've had one fitted on a BMW 320d and a Jag tdci and both worked a treat at ironing out the flat spots. Would love to put one on my TD5 Disco, but as it technically belongs to my boss.....?!?
