Could anyone who previously climbed in the original TM and now has the Evo tell me if it’s worth spending the extra money on one?

It looks to me like it’s basically £60 for a second bridge….unless I’m missing something??

Also…

Are you experiencing any issues with it? - I remember reading a post a while back about the waist band coming loose and wondered if this is a common problem or a one off.

Many thanks.

My friend and I were just talking about this last week. We both had the TM when it first came out but now he has gone onto the Evolution.
He said the buckles are woeful and you need the fingers of an 8 year old girl to undo them !!
He also reckons it’s 2.5 kg heavier which if accurate , seems a heck of a lot.
Overall it would seem that for him, their was not one thing he preferred over the original one.

I have had 4 TM harnesses and now have the one with the double bridge.

It doesn’t notably feel 2.5kg heavier.  Maybe your mate had the lite version before?

Rich - I’d really appreciate your thoughts on the Evo. Especially comparing the two and if you have had any issues etc

Many thanks

Unfortunately I have been off sick for the last 4 months due to tendon surgery in my hand.

I haven’t actually climbed in anger with the double bridge version.  I just tried it on and set the bridge, leg loops and tool loops to match the previous TM’s I have owned:

This was in winter and just kept climbing in my old one.  Thinking I would leave it till summer.  Then I needed the op and it is still in the garage looking very clean.
