  1. Rich - I’d really appreciate your thoughts on the Evo. Especially comparing the two and if you have had any issues etc Many thanks
  2. Could anyone who previously climbed in the original TM and now has the Evo tell me if it’s worth spending the extra money on one? It looks to me like it’s basically £60 for a second bridge….unless I’m missing something?? Also… Are you experiencing any issues with it? - I remember reading a post a while back about the waist band coming loose and wondered if this is a common problem or a one off. Many thanks.
  3. I did use the saw yesterday. It was a 2 hour smash down so the saw was in use for the majority of that time and it ran absolutely spot on....until the two very last cuts, when the bogging returned. Unfortunately had to get on with other work so couldn’t tinker with it but will update on Monday.
  4. That’s interesting. Not an issue I’ve heard of before. Cheers Paddy I’ll pay more attention to when it’s bogging and let you know.
  5. Yep, owned from new, 2010/11 I think. Has sat in the garage the last 5 years. Was pretty careful to not force too much resin into the two small holes behind Welch plug as read that would be a problem but couldn’t say for sure I suppose. Yes, I think it does but will double check in the morning. Thanks
  6. Really appreciate the replies... This is the deepest I’ve got into a saw so really learning as I go. Please be gentle No idea what wot means and certainly don’t know how to check the top end. The saw is original. I removed the acc pump applied Aradite epoxy resin and refit. When the bogging reappeared I’d assumed I’d done a crap job and popped the welch plug and filled that area. The carb is set at H 1 - L 1 1/4 The saw runs spot on for approx 20mins use before the bogging starts but I’ll pay more attention to that when I use it tomorrow.
  7. Would anyone be able to help with the above problem I’m having? After recently blocking off the accelerator pump the saw starts and runs sweet so thought I’d fixed the boggy acceleration. I’d previously changed: Fuel filter Fuel line Spark plug Carb kit and cleaned it Blown out: Air filter Fuel tank vent and valve I’d even replaced the fuel cap thinking there was a problem with the pressure...no psssst when opened When it’s boggy it does pick up if I feather the trigger Any advice would be much appreciated. I don’t want a dealer to have it for another 6 weeks
  8. Do you have a link? I can’t find it on line.
  9. Does anyone know a release date? Just about to buy the stihl 161 but this looks better.
  10. I can’t find any reviews for this saw using the search engine. Maybe I’m just thick.... Can anyone give any feedback on this saw? Comparison with the 2511 would be even better.
  11. Hi, I have recently moved to Peterborough and need my kit inspected. Can anyone help? Or pass on the contact details of the people they use. Thanks.
  12. When I got this harness I thought the adjustable strap from the side D's to the bridge rings was a really good improvement from the last model, how wrong was I. As I climb they work they're way back to a point that if I'm hanging directly below my tip I have no back support and the harness makes my legs want to go up and my head go down. Has anyone else experienced this? Would be grateful for any solutions. I'm thinking of sewing them in place, probably fail loler, but it's so annoying having to constantly re-adjust the straps, especially in the tree.
  13. Thank you for responding. So you're saying make a small loop out of some throw line? Girth hitch that to some part of the system and clip into that? Which part would you recommend, that has worked best for you? Seems odd to me that a system that requires an attachment for tending has been completely over looked by the company producing said system. Clearly the pulley they sell with the kit should have at least 2 holes of attachment.
  14. I decided to buy this kit over buying wrench/hitchclimber separately because I liked the idea of having the tether in between the pulley but have no idea where to attach a chest harness/neck elastic and I can't find the answer anywhere. What have others done?
