Dynamic Rope

Is there anyway to terminate dynamic rope apart from knots? can it be stitched? i see why a splice shouldnt be used and i presume its the same for stitching but if anyones got any other ideas then thatd be cool. cheers

beal do a stiched termination on their jane lanyard which is a dynamic rope.

 

other than that thats all i can suggest

The Jane lanyard is by Petzl - I 'm not sure how dynamic it is but it is intended to be used with a shock absorber so perhaps not much...

there are a number of dynamic PPE ropes designed for millatry aplications which have/ can have stitched terminations, whether or not they'd be CE approved etc is something else

Surely knots are cool . Dynamic rope is only used for fall arrest or were theres risk of falling . Only other use could be descending which is what mine is used for or a strop / lanyard .

hey drew the millatry ropes i knew of with sewn terminations are not strong enough for personal attachments & the terminations are designed for gear hauling only but they are curently designing/testing some. Also they did think that beal make one, sorry i couldn't be of more help
