Honda GX390 engine - little white smoke

today i topped up the engine oil on my skid, Honda GX390 engine, was rather low but wasn't low enough for the warning to come on

i filled it to just below the max or just when it overflows for those that know Honda engines!!

it took about 750/800ml
 

but since doing that, it'll blow a bit of white smoke for half a minute, then it'll clear for a minute, then do it again, then clear etc etc

it's just a little

 

yes i did use the correct oil!

 

any ideas what this could be please or if it's anything to worry about

Water in fuel. Oil would be blue.

only use new decent fuel and it's dry stored

If it does it more when under load Sounds like too much oil .had same problem with a lawnmower .

The fuel tanks on gx's can let water in via the cap. Or condensation in carb. Drain carb.
