Sorry Spud! I meant the update kit for the MS201TCM? Is it the same as the 261 is it?

Mmm, I noticed that. The black solenoid 0000 120 5110 fits the 201 and the 261 along with many other machines so the grey one will fit the same machines and think I have fitted one to a 201TC in the past.

I was under the impression the upgrade kit was for older versions of the 201. I bought my 201tcm in probably 2018? So I thought I wouldn’t need the upgrade kit as these later saws had the kit fitted as standard ?

Also I ordered a filter which wasn’t orange but it was for a 201. 
 

if the orange filter a better one than what I have ordered?

The orange filter is finer. The original white one wasn't fine enough and dust particles were getting into the solenoid and ruining them

Ok! So I have a white one on my saw now does this mean my saw would benefit from the upgrade kit??

Ok so maybe any running problems I have will be down to the solenoid which I thought wouldn’t need replacing yet but now I realise I have the inferior filter maybe I will need to get a new solenoid
