Question

Hi Guys

Can anyone help me please?

I keep chickens in my garden and from Monday 14 December I have to confine them to runs in line with DEFRA instructions. My garden has also turned into a muddy soup not a good sign for keeping confined chickens healthy.

I am my Husbands carer so its not that easy or practicable for me to leave the house. So, if any of you have hardwood chippings (untreated, please) in need of a good home, can you contact me.

Thank you so much

If you want to comply they need to be kept inside with absolutely no way wild birds or their droppings can get to the poultry. In a run, it would need to have a roof, very fine mesh all round (I've seen small birds get through 1" weldmesh), drains to stop ground water running in, disinfectant foot baths on entry etc etc
